CEDIA 2019 Expo Show Coverage

2019 was a busy year in consumer audio as evident by all of the new and exciting products released by some of the big name brands like Polk, Denon, Arcam, MartinLogan, etc. We haven't seen this much enthusiasm among manufacturers for a CEDIA show in a very long time. We covered the latest advances in loudspeakers, immersive surround processors, and more. Check out our CEDIA coverage broadcasts on our  Youtube channel.

The focus of the show this year was:

  • High performance in-wall loudspeakers to offer near equivalent to flagship box speaker counterparts.
  • Ease of setup, (ie. smart soundbars, nearfield projector systems,  etc).
  • 16CH+ Immersive Audio Processors to expand beyond 7.1.4.

MartinLogan has proved that you can get “flagship-class performance” from in-wall and in-ceiling speakers. The new Masterpiece CI Series speakers put on an incredible show at the 2019 CEDIA Expo. The star of the show was the flagship Statement 40XW line-source in-wall speaker ($20,000 each), which uses 40 drivers in a line array to deliver unfettered dynamics and realism.
