Audioholics Commemorates 7 Years of Online Success

Audioholics Commemorates 7 Years of Online Success

Founded by Gene DellaSala back in Fall of 1998, Audioholics has forged with one goal in mind " to Pursue the Truth in Audio ". Since then we have expanded our mantra to the realm of video and all aspects related to home theater. After seven years of grueling work, we decided it was time to celebrate the fruits of our labor. We invited everyone that has helped us succeed over the past seven years for a night of celebration.

Here's a recap of our 7th year anniversary party back in 2005. At Audioholics we not only pride ourselves on rigorous reviews, but close-knit family environment, and this party is one example of that.

Get Audio Advice from OPRA

At times, here at Audioholics.com, questions only tangentially related to the study of paying as little money for as good sound as possible come up. Usually, we allow these questions to be fielded by our loyal readers in the forums. However, due to a disturbing trend of questionable advice being distributed, Audioholics.com felt moved to step in and give the REAL scoop. I have been appointed as the Official Provider of Related Advice (OPRA).

Blu-ray Disc vs. HD-DVD... Who Cares?

We have actually been keeping score on which Hollywood studio and which content owner "signed up" for the HD- (HD-DVD) and Blu-ray Disc (BD) camps. We actually wondered which wanted to limit their creativity with 15GB (HD) or expand their horizons with 25GB (single layer) and 50GB (double layer) capacity for their fantastic next generation video content and extras.
