Marantz SR5007, SR6007 & SR7007 A/V Receiver Preview [0.23] by tom,June 01, 2012 12:45
Yes, the comparison between the new Marantz and Denon lines is apt - they share a lot of the same features such as Apple AirPlay, 3D pass-through, 4k upscaling, Audyssey MultEQ XT, and more. But lots of receivers have these features. What distinguishes the Marantz offerings from the rest of the crowd, is the number and types of connections. These are receivers for those that aren't first time buyers. These are for those that might have (or plan on having) external amps. For owners of legacy gear that either don't want to or can't afford to upgrade. The new SR5007, SR 6007 and SR7007 A/V receivers from Marantz appear to be truly high end offerings for discerning buyers. Solid build quality, great cosmetics and generous power offerings are all hallmarks of Marantz A/V receivers that they appear to be continuing with the new 07 series of A/V receivers.

Marantz CD6004 CD Player Preview [0.23] by tom,November 04, 2011 08:20
With a similar model number, the CD6004 from Marantz was obviously designed to work with the new PM6004 Integrated Amplifier to provide an affordable but impressive two channel system. All you need to do is provide the speakers. But the CD6004 isn't built with only Marantz's other components in mind, there is a lot more to it than that. With Made for iPod/Works with iPhone certification and front mounted USB port, the CD6004 is more than a simple high-end CD player. For $500, however, you have to ask yourself if the CD6004 does everything you need.
Marantz Bluetooth Receivers Preview [0.23] by tom,August 26, 2009 07:40
We're fairly impressed overall with the new Marantz SR6004 and SR5004 receiver offerings. While streaming content from your Bluetooth devices sounds pretty cool, we're not sure it's worth $130. The SR6004 definitely gives you a lot for your money and the component video output for zone 2 for both receivers is definitely a plus. One thing that Marantz always seems to have going for them is looks, and on that alone, we'd like to spend some more time with their receivers.
