RBH Sound MC-553 "Dual Purpose" In-wall Speaker [0.35] by tom,September 06, 2007 09:42
RBH Sound announced the introduction of the MC-553, a dual-purpose in-wall speaker intended for high-end home theaters or multi-channel media rooms. The MC-553 has the unique ability to perform double-duty as both a center channel speaker and a main front left or right speaker for a surround sound system. If two MC-553’s are used as the front left and right speakers in a home theater system, and each is in dual-mode configuration, the lower tweeter and woofer of each side cleverly function as the center channel.
RBH Sound SI-663 & SI-744 In-Wall Speakers - First Look [0.35] by Gene,September 15, 2009 13:10
These new in-wall products (SI-663 and SI-744; respectively) displayed by RBH Sound at CEDIA 2009 are prime examples of thinking outside the box. We appreciate the flexibility these products offer for both the custom installer and the end user alike. It’s nice to see products that allow for a full multi channel experience while eliminating some of the speaker locations traditionally required in achieving it. We welcome feedback from installers on how these systems sound when integrated into a full theater application since it’s often impractical for review publications to review in-wall products.
The Speaker Company NTIW26 and NTIW25 In-wall Speakers [0.35] by tom,January 19, 2009 06:30
At $300 a pair for the NTIW26s and $230 a pair for the NTIW25s, these speakers are a remarkable value. Quality components, easy to mount, lots of tuning options… the list of benefits goes on. Sonically, they at least met and in many ways exceeded my expectations. Bass was admirable for a bookshelf, much less an in-wall. The highs and mids were well-realized and very lifelike. The NT speakers definitely live up to the tSc motto - Quality Loudspeakers at Half the Price.
Pro Audio Technology Intros In-wall, In-ceiling, and Subwoofer Products [0.35] by clint,February 20, 2011 22:35
Building on the success of its initial high-output in-wall loudspeakers, Pro Audio Technology (PRO) has expanded its offering of designer-friendly products to include new in-wall, in-ceiling and subwoofer models. Featuring professional components and DSP optimization, the new models bring PRO’s unique high-output performance to a lower price point than previously available. The SCRS-5iw in-wall loudspeaker joins a 3/4-inch compression driver to a PRO-designed elliptical horn for broad dispersion of high frequency energy. Its 5-inch woofer employs a powerful ferrite magnet with an oversized voice-coil, resulting in a high-sensitivity design capable of output levels of 110dB and a dynamic range typically associated with larger floor standing loudspeakers. Measuring only 3 7/8-inch deep, the SCRS-5iw installs easily in a standard 2 x 4 stud bay.

In-Wall Subwoofer Options for Deep Bass Without the Big Box [0.33] by Jacob Green,January 17, 2023 01:15
In-wall subwoofers have traditionally been thought of as sonically compromised. But in recent years, manufacturers have started taking in-wall subs more seriously. While big-box subs still offer the most room-shaking low frequencies, some of the best in-wall and in-ceiling subs have taken the art of invisible bass to new heights — or new lows. Here we look at 3 new in-wall and in-ceiling subs that look promising for different types of installations.
