C38m x2 Superbar

Wisdom Audio introduced their Sage Superbar line of soundbars and one word comes to mind: "Customizability". The Wisdom Sage Soundbar line will feature custom lengths from 38" all the way up to 98". For those of you keeping track, that's over 8 feet! The soundbars will come in standard black, but will also be available in custom colors to fit the most discriminating decor.

The new Wisdom Audio Sage Series Superbars will include four models: C20m x2; C38m x2; C20m x3 and C20m x2 and C38m x1.

C20m x 2

The C20m x2 4-ohm Superbar is designed to produce a stereo playback configuration with a 40Hz - 20kHz +/- 2dB frequency response and 90 dB sensitivity. Notice the horizontal MTM driver topology of each speaker.

C38m x2

The 3-ohm C38m x2 is designed to extend the response down to 35Hz - 20kHz +/- 2dB and achieve 93 dB. They achieve lower extension and more output by adding two additional mid woofers per speaker.

C20m x3

The C20m x3 is a 4-ohm model designed to provide LCR playback with a frequency response of 35Hz - 20kHz +/- 2dB and a peak sensitivity of 92 dB and 93 dB, respectively. The same MTM driver topology from the C20mx2 is employed for all three channels.

C20m x2 C38m x1

C20m x2 C38m x1 is also designed as a 4-ohm model to provide LCR playback with a frequency response of 35Hz - 20kHz +/- 2dB and a peak sensitivity of 92 dB and 93 dB, respectively. Like other members of the series, each Superbar model features a planar magnetic hybrid design. Apparently this is the model for those that really want more output from the center speaker as you can see with the 4 drivers dedicated for that channel.

The entire Wisdom Audio Sage Superbar lineup must be used in conjunction with active crossovers, bi-amplification and surround processors and amplifiers with ample DSP and active crossover adjustment may be used to ensure proper performance. Considering the drivers are designed to go down to 35Hz, these Superbars may not need a subwoofer for extra bass but they do offer subwoofer options if you so desire.

Conclusion

Ok, so how much is all this customization going to cost you? Wisdom Audio representatives told Audioholics to expect a base price of $8,300 up to $20,000! That's a lot of coin for a soundbar. In fact, this is the most expensive soundbar we've seen. Is it worth it? We'll let you decide.
