- There are many reasons you might want a sound bar: maybe you have no room for a conventional surround setup, or you just don't want to deal with a mess of wires. Whatever the reason, Audioholics is here to help you out. We've compiled a list of our favorite sound bars from 2014, from sub-$500 entry level models to high end >$1,000 units. If that's not enough, we've also got a spoiler alert inside for a new sound bar coming in 2015. Don't settle for the lousy sound of your HDTV. Yamaha DVX-700 DVD Home Theater System First Look
[0.30]
by tom,January 10, 2009 11:55
- Yamaha showed off the DVX-700 DVD home theater system which features an integrated DVD player, two front speakers and 6-1/2" subwoofer in an elegant design. It looks remarkably like a Bose Lifestyle system - right down to the low-profile head unit, ported subwoofer and cube-shaped satellite speakers. The DVX-700 utilizes Yamaha’s exclusive Air Surround Xtreme technology to deliver a surround sound performance without requiring multiple speakers to be installed throughout the room. This is the same DSP utilized in their lower-priced (non-YSP) sound bars.

Yamaha NX-U10 USB Speaker Video
[0.27]
by clint,January 07, 2007 20:00
- The Yamaha NX-U10 USB speaker is a multi-faced speaker that can be powered in almost any way imaginable... except for fuel cell or solar. OK, so it takes USB power, batteries and even AC - but it's still a cool option for getting sound that bests the often underwhelming sound quality of most laptops. With its lightweight styling and surprisingly loud output levels, the NX-U10 will make for a portable speaker solution that won't take up much room and fits nicely into your laptop case.
