SVS Launches First-Ever Soundbar and New 3000 R|Evolution Series Subwoofers at CES 2026
SVS always puts on a stellar show audio audio expos, and the company’s outing at CES 2026 is proving to be no exception. Not many audio companies launch important new products at CES these days, but SVS still takes advantage of CES’s worldwide stage to make major introductions. It can be difficult to cut through the noise of such an enormous show — both literally and figuratively — but SVS is up to the challenge. Two years ago, the company debuted the incredibly impressive Ultra Evolution loudspeaker range at CES 2024 (see James Larson’s SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle Floorstanding Loudspeaker Review), and now SVS is back at CES 2026 debuting its first-ever soundbar system, along with the all-new 3000 R|Evolution subwoofers. In order to demonstrate just how capable the brand’s products are when working together as intended, SVS has also created a dedicated 5.2.4-channel immersive Dolby Atmos home theater “cabin,” featuring the new 3000 R|Evolution subwoofers and the aforementioned Ultra Evolution speakers.
SVS 3000 R|Evolution Series Subwoofers
Sitting roughly in the middle of the SVS subwoofer lineup, the award-winning 3000 Series represents a goldilocks combination of performance and value, making it one of the brand’s most appealing offerings. The 3000 Series subwoofers are also big enough to create serious bass, but not so big that they take up the entire room (or get immediately vetoed by the non-audio-obsessed members of the household). Now the 3000 Series has seen a major redesign, inheriting new technologies and acoustic breakthroughs from the flagship 17-Ultra R|Evolution Series subs, released in 2024, and the 5000 R|Evolution Series subwoofers launched in 2025. (See our SVS PB17-Ultra R|Evolution Subwoofer Review.)
The new 3000 R|Evolution Series includes new driver design, new amplification, and advanced DSP, among other innovations.
The SB-3000 R|Evolution is a relatively compact sealed design delivering bass extension down to 17 Hz (+/-3 dB) with a focus on control and articulation. The larger PB-3000 R|Evolution is a ported design extending down to 16 Hz (+/-3 dB) with a focus on higher output to pressurize larger spaces. But as we’ve seen in our testing, these sealed-versus-ported generalizations should be taken with a grain of salt — the brand’s sealed subs can deliver massive bass, and their ported siblings can deliver musical refinement in addition to cinema-sized low-frequency effects, especially if you take advantage of the multiple port-tuning options. Both models in the new 3000 R|Evolution Series use a newly-developed high-excursion 13-inch driver promising to deliver deep, authoritative bass without sacrificing an ounce of accuracy and detail. The driver uses a flat-edge wound, split-wind voice coil designed to maximize magnetic force and responsiveness at high excursion. The Class-D amplifier with discrete MOSFET output stage delivers 1,200 watts continuous (4000+ watts peak), along with immense amounts of current, according to SVS. The amp reportedly maintains precise control and pristine signal integrity, thanks in part to a 295 MHz Analog Devices DSP, which handles power delivery, thermal management, and driver control in real time to ensure uncompromised system performance.
Both models also use a switch mode power supply, which both maintains a consistent voltage and conditions the AC line power for optimal performance under any conditions, according to SVS. Like the brand’s other high-performance subwoofers, the 3000 R|Evolution Series can be controlled and tweaked using the SVS Subwoofer Control App, which will be incorporating Auto Room EQ after a firmware update expected during Q1 of 2026. The Auto Room EQ applies precision EQ filters tailored to the listener’s unique environment to optimize in-room response. SVS has not announced pricing as of the time of writing, but shipping is targeted for early Q1, so we won’t have to wait long.
Update: We have just learned that SVS is also introducing the 3000 Micro R|Evolution subwoofer at CES, though pricing and shipping dates are TBA. This model will replace the existing SVS 3000 Micro subwoofer, which has been a runaway hit for the brand since its 2021 launch. (See our article SVS 3000 Micro Subwoofer Breaks the Small Size Barrier with BIG Sound.) While the original 3000 Micro used a pair of dual-opposed 8-inch drivers, the new model uses dual 9-inch drivers. There is also new amplification onboard, along with a new DSP engine that will enable the 3000 Micro R|Evolution to take advantage of the upcoming Auto Room EQ feature. With larger drivers, new amplification, and the addition of more advanced DSP, the 3000 Micro R|Evolution should easily outperform its predecessor while maintaining an appealingly tiny form-factor.
SVS R|Evolution Soundbar
Coming as something of a surprise is the new R|Evolution Soundbar, the first-ever soundbar product from SVS. Designed to deliver real home theater performance with lifestyle-friendly simplicity, the R|Evolution Soundbar will be entering a crowded marketplace with one unique trick up its sleeve. The main soundbar unit appears straightforward enough, with a dedicated 3-way acoustic architecture for reproducing the front left, center, and front right channels. It uses a total of 9 drivers powered by 180 watts of total amplification. The standout feature, which should come as no surprise to SVS fans, is the inclusion of a real-deal subwoofer. Many soundbars make the addition of a subwoofer an optional extra. And these are often dinky, plasticky units that would never pass for a standalone subwoofer that could be sold on its own merit. But the R|Evolution Soundbar includes an SVS R|Evolution Wireless Subwoofer, which features an all-new 12-inch high-excursion driver and a 600-watt continuous Class D MOSFET amplifier. It comes pre-paired with the soundbar for effortless setup, and promises the same powerful, accurate bass performance that SVS users have come to expect.
Unlike
many soundbars, the R|Evolution Soundbar is offered with a dual-subwoofer package for those users who want
enhanced room response and greater overall output. Users can also opt for the
SVS R|Evolution Soundbar Max package, which includes a pair of SVS R|Evolution
Wireless Surround Speakers for true 5.1-channel sound and more immersive Dolby
Atmos virtualization. The surround speakers are a 2-way bi-amped design with 50
watts of amplification per speaker. Like the wireless sub, the surround
speakers arrive pre-paired for plug-and-play simplicity, using a proprietary multi-band connection
to ensure signal stability
even in congested environments. All configurations of the soundbar (3.1, 5.1,
or 5.2) can decode
everything from stereo to full Dolby Atmos, with support for high-res music
streaming and an onboard Auto EQ room correction system to optimize the sound
in any listening space. The soundbar also features Dolby Dialogue Enhancer for
clearer dialogue performance. For wireless connectivity, the SVS R|Evolution
Soundbar features Wi-Fi, Airplay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect, and Bluetooth.
Naturally, it also includes HDMI 2.1 ARC/eARC. The custom control app is complemented by the included IR remote
control. Pricing for the SVS R|Evolution
Soundbar is TBD, and shipping is expected for late Q2 of 2026.
SVS 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos Demo Cabin
The pièce de résistance of SVS’s CES 2026 showcase has to be the dedicated 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos home theater cabin designed to demonstrate just how much impact and immersion the brand’s products can deliver when working together in a system. The demo system includes a pair of SVS Ultra Evolution Pinnacle Speakers for the front left and right channels, with an Ultra Evolution Center Speaker rounding out the front stage. Ultra Evolution Bookshelf Speakers are on surround duty, while 2 pairs of Ultra Evolution Elevation Speakers reproduce height channels. Bass frequencies are being provided by a pair of the new PB-3000 R|Evolution subs. SVS partnered with AWALL for the demo system’s visual display, which is a 108-inch AWALL CoB MicroLED Display. This modular display reportedly maintains precise greyscale accuracy and delivers true-to-life colors with impressive contrast, revealing intricate details even in the darkest scenes.
CES is the perfect environment to experience what SVS is all about — bold innovation, real-world performance, and the kind of emotional impact that makes you forget you’re listening to a system and just get lost in the content. Whether it’s the visceral immersion of our 5.2.4 Dolby Atmos cabin featuring the new 3000 R|Evolution subwoofers or the shockingly powerful, cinematic experience of the new R|Evolution Soundbar, we’re excited to show the industry what’s possible when you refuse to compromise on sound.
