Phoenix Gold featured its new HDMX.900 CL3-rated HDMI cables at the 2007 Electronic House Expo, held in Orlando, Fla. from March 8-10. The HDMX line features 1080i and 1080p specifications and are available in multiple lengths for added flexibility.

PG also plans to add new 900 series ATC cables featuring the new mini HDMI connectors, which are planned for a 2007 release. These cables feature the new “C” Type mini HDMI connector to a standard “A” Type connector in 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 meter cables. These “C” Type mini HDMI connectors will be featured on the new High Definition camcorders, some gaming units, and future cell phone products. They meet HDMI 1.3a standards and will support 1080p.

Phoenix Gold now offers HDMi cable worthy of 1080p standards by meeting and surpassing these requirements with an affordable solution. The 900 series’ three and five meter options are approved for 1080p standards, with a 7.5 meter 1080p option planned for early in 2007 as well as designs to offer a repeater (suggested retail of $89.00) that will pass 1080p standards up to 25 meters (82.2 ft). The repeater can be added to the nine and 15 meter HDMI cables to guarantee 1080p broadcast. Plans are also in the works to add a 20 meter (65.62 ft) and 25 meter cable packaged with the repeater, which will also be 1080p approved.

Phoenix Gold is already shipping its 9 and 15 meter (30 and 50 foot respectfully) cables which pass 1080i standards, and it plans to offer greater lengths up to 45 meters (147 ft) packaged with the repeater (1080i). Phoenix Gold also plans to introduce a series of HDMI wall plates featuring built-in repeater and right angle output. HDMI switchers and repeaters are planned for Q2 2007 release.

Pricing for the Phoenix Gold HDMX.900 CL3-rated HDMI cables are TBD.
