Wharfedale Opus 2

When we looked at Wharfedale Speakers at CES we were impressed with their Opus 2 line. Opus is the flagship of the Wharfedale range. These large format floorstanding stereo and home cinema speakers contain tri-lam composite carbon driver cones and 3" dome mid-ranges. The Opus 2 uses "Drive unit technology". Wharfedale claims that this technology uses advanced neodymium and alnico magnets to produce intense and focused flux fields that provide a tight grip on drive unit movement. The speakers contain a soft dome mid-range and a bass cone, with a woven Kevlar / glass fiber composite unit.
