Destination Audio CS System

Destination Audio announced the introduction of two new compact systems, the CS100 and the CS500 series.   The CS100 series consists of the CS100 compact satellite speakers and the CS100C compact center channel speaker. The CS100 series is constructed of a poly resin cabinet with rounded corners and a smooth pebble grain finish. Both models can be mounted on the wall or on optional speaker stands. The CS100 has a suggested retail price of $198 per pair, and has a 4-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix woofer and a 1” Nano-silk tweeter. The CS100C has a suggested retail price of $168 each and features dual 4-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix woofers and a 1” Nano-silk tweeter. Rounding out the system is the SC10. The SC10 is a powered subwoofer with a 10-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix woofer and a matching smooth pebble grain finish. The SC10 retails for $440 each.

The CS500 series consists of the CS500 compact bookshelf speakers, the CS500C compact center channel speaker and the CS500T compact tower speaker. The CS500 series cabinets are constructed of MDF, have a smooth pebble grain finish with rounded corners and have the unique feature of interchangeable faceplates (baffles). All speakers in the CS500 series come standard with pewter faceplates; however, Destination Audio offers black, cherry and rosewood faceplates that can replace the pewter faceplates, allowing the speakers to match almost any décor. The CS500 and CS500C can be mounted on the wall or on optional speaker stands.

The CS500 retails for $398 a pair and comes with a 4-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix woofer and a 1-inch Nano-silk tweeter. The CS500C retails for $368 each and features dual 4-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix woofers and a 1-inch Nano-silk tweeter. The CS500T comes with four 4-inch Aluminized Fiberglass Matrix mid-woofers, a 1” Nano-silk tweeter and retails for $1,138 a pair.

Both the CS100 and the CS500 (excluding the CS500T) series will be available as a complete HTIB system, (all speakers, including the subwoofer, in a single box), or separately. Additionally, the HTIB offerings will be available in both 5.1 and 7.1 pre-packaged configurations.

The CS100 and CS100C are expected to ship mid-November, while the CS500, CS500C and CS500T are slated for mid-November, and the SC10 is slated for mid- to late-December.
