Pioneer Elite Blu-Ray Disc player with Built-In Networking

by September 09, 2006

Today at CEDIA we caught a sneak peak at Pioneer's forthcoming Blu-Ray DVD player. The model on display, which is not due to be shipped until Spring of 2007, was functional and provided excellent images.

The unit is capable of upconversion to 1080p as well as downconversion to a lower resolution. It also includes Pioneer's exclusive home networking program, Home Media Gallery, that easily connects to an existing home network via Ethernet or USB. This feature provides users direct access to movies, music and photos stored on a networked PC or any other DLNA compliant device for immediate viewing on a connected display.
