T plus A K-Series Receiver and Talis Mini Speakers

The T+A (T plus A) K-Series 5.1 Receiver caught my attention because of its clean look and the ability to turn it on by waving your hand underneath the front of the receiver. The price is a bit steep at $8500 but for that it includes a DVD! It is DPLII and DTS compatable. Specifications include 45 wpc (5 channels) + 10 wpc (two channels) zone 2 into 8 Ohms and 60 wpc + 15 wpc for zone 2 into 4 Ohms.

Paired with the Talis Mini speakers for a mere $16k for the whole package (as reported by the guy at the booth), one wonders why these things don't fly off the shelves.
