About the Prize - MartinLogan Motion XT F100

MartinLogan Motion XT F100 performance will surely impress even the most stringent Audioholic. In his F100 review, Matthew Poes even gave them the nod of approval, no easy task for any loudspeaker by his review standards. This speaker company is best known for its many years of refining its electrostatic speaker technology since 1983 at its facility in Lawrence, Kansas. MartinLogan built its legend through years of innovation, striving for a complete sound profile by pairing electrostatic speaker technology with its own dynamic driver designs. The company brought all that experience to bear in its Motion lines of loudspeakers that feature its own take on AMT (Air Motion Transformer) technology, resulting in the Folded Motion Tweeter, exclusive to every Motion-series speaker.

The Motion XT F100 features MartinLogan’s latest improvements in the Gen2 Folded Motion Tweeter (FMT). In the F100, the FMT is paired with a 6.5-inch Nomex Reinforced Kevlar cone midrange while the low-end is covered by not one, but THREE 6.5-inch aluminum woofers. These speakers stand about 4-feet tall and weigh-in at 76-lbs - we'd recommend an extra pair of hands to get them positioned inside your home. The results will be worth the effort! Before they even make a sound, these imposing speaker designs are impressive to behold.

MartinLogan’s latest acoustic technology is loaded inside the F100’s beautifully designed gloss black boxes. “Impeccable” and “flawless” are among the words used by our reviewer to describe F100's fit and finish. The classic design conjures visions of a precision-tuned instrument and will blend seamlessly into any interior while  simultaneously demanding the full attention of anyone walking into the room. MartinLogan provides options when placing the speakers on your floor. Each floorstanding model in the Motion series comes with hand-adjustable, anti-vibration feet that reduce energy dissipation through your floor. You’ll easily adjust the height of the speakers with a twist and they make contact with the floor using your choice of rubber or spikes.
