Legacy Audio Named Exclusive Sound Sponsor For T.H.E. Film Festival
Audioholics was one of the first sites this year to release the breaking news that T.H.E. Enterprises announced the long-rumored T.H.E. Film Festival, a new initiative to be held in conjunction with each of its upcoming HiFi shows. T.H.E. Show is the longest running HiFi show in the USA, now in its 29th year. Now we know that Legacy Audio, the Illinois-based manufacturer of high-performance loudspeaker and home theater systems, is confirmed to be the exclusive sound sponsor for the T.H.E. Film Festival, which will take place as part of the Total HiFi Experience Show in New York from October 24–26, 2025. In that capacity, Legacy will deliver a full immersive audio system for the festival’s screenings, ensuring the film submissions are experienced with reference-level clarity, dynamic presence, and cinematic authority. This demonstration system is engineered to illustrate how state-of-the-art loudspeakers, amplification, subwoofers, and processing can transport an audience into the narrative in ways common commercial systems cannot.
Over recent years, Audioholics coverage has underscored Legacy Audio’s commitment to combining ambitious engineering with musicality. At AXPONA 2023, Audioholics noted that Legacy “brought their full spread of high-end speakers as well as their ULTRA amplifiers and Wavelet processor,” and even compared their Calibre and Valor models side by side, explaining how the Valor remains a benchmark even years after its launch.
Demonstration System Highlights
The system Legacy Audio will deploy includes:
-
Valor Tower Speakers for main left and right channels
-
Signature SE modules for side and rear surround channels
-
Element Center Channel for crystal-clear dialogue reproduction
-
Goliath Subwoofer for deep, articulate low-frequency extension
-
iV8 Amplifier delivering robust and dynamic power
-
Wavelet 2 & Wavelaunch Processors for advanced room correction, alignment, and system control
Film is an art form where sound and picture must work in perfect harmony to create a truly moving experience. At T.H.E., we won’t just show films — we will let attendees feel them in the way the creators intended. Our system is purpose-built to reveal the subtle interplay of score, effects, ambience, and dialogue — a full cinematic tapestry.
--Andy Swanson, Marketing Director for Legacy Audio
In addition, Legacy will present a selection of its flagship speakers, including the Signature XD, Focus XD, and Valor System, offering festival-goers and HiFi enthusiasts the opportunity to compare and audition across Legacy’s product line.
Why This Matters
We're glad to see a company such as Legacy Audio commanding such an important position at a key sound event for home theater. This announcement positions Legacy as a brand that is not only to be heard in demo rooms, but trusted to anchor high-stakes installations — such as cinematic presentations at a festival. In other words, T.H.E. Film Festival is an opportunity for Legacy to translate what it demonstrates in audiophile shows into a live public, emotionally immersive context.
