Summary

  • Product Name: HDCAT-5
  • Manufacturer: RTcom
  • Review Date: January 11, 2008 15:35
  • First Impression: Gotta Have It!

The RTcom booth was showing off their HDMI over CAT-5 box (which seemed to be a theme at CES this year). The box is so new, they didn't have any information on it. The engineer we spoke to said it would support 1080/60p at 30 meters. Don't quote him (or us) on that. It could be more or less. There was a language barrier going on during that conversation. We're excited to see so many manufacturers finding a way around the extremely limited (and expensive) HDMI cable. For more information, please visit www.digitalextender.com.
