Yamaha to Demo new BD-S2900 Blu-ray Player at Audioholics SOTU Event

Yamaha Electronics Corporation will demonstrate its first Blu-ray disc player and flagship RX-Z11 11.2 channel network AV receiver at Audioholics 2008 State of the CE Union trade show at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort in Orlando, Florida, on October 22 – 24, 2008. The company will also display the latest addition to its high end RX-Z series receivers, the RX-Z7, as well as its RX-V3900 network AV receiver.

The BD-S2900 ($1199.95 MSRP) features performance enhancements such as 12-bit Deep Color and HD Audio Bitstream output, engaging BONUSVIEW Functions that leverage the Blu-ray format’s next-generation multimedia capabilities and a stylish design to match the company’s high-end receiver line. It will be paired with Yamaha’s flagship RX-Z11 11.2 channel network AV receiver (140W x 7 + 50W x 4: $5,499.95 MSRP) which is designed to deliver the ultimate audio and video quality of content from diverse sources (including iPod, satellite radio, HD Radio and Internet radio), seamless operation and unprecedented multi-zone options for high end home entertainment installations.

Yamaha’s new RX-Z7 7.1 channel network AV receiver (140W x 7: $2699.95 MSRP) combines the limitless source playback of the RX-Z11, with the addition of Bluetooth devices, the latest network receiver/digital media hub capabilities and superior HD audio and video performance. The RX-Z7 offers five HDMI inputs and advanced multi-zone capabilities and controller compatibility, making it the perfect centerpiece for sophisticated custom installations.
