AV Rant #272: Badmouthing the Brits

AVR #272

Welcome to the last podcast where at least one of the core AV Rant members will be standing in the states. Yes, we’re fleeing like rats off a sinking ship. Liz is off to London this weekend and is sort of stressed. Tom steps up and basically talks the whole time. If you are more of a Liz fan – don’t worry. She promises to be back in form next week (if she is around for a podcast – we’ll see how fast the Brits are at hooking up Internet). If you can’t get enough of Tom’s voice (there is probably a medical condition for that), head over to AV Week where he was a panelist in this week’s podcast. This week an AV Rant, Tom admits he was wrong (don’t tell his wife) about iCloud Match. Liz liked Tom’s article on Defining Confusing Audio Terms over at Audioholics. Why aren’t we shooting video in 120Hz? We need to get James Camereon on this one! Universal Remote Control tells it like it is and Liz thinks it’s an Onion article. Sony’s new game system (PSVita) is here and leads to a discussion on downloads versus buying physical media. For the Soup to Nuts, you get a pre-review of the OtterBox Commuter and Defender cases for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus. Full review including a giveaway to follow. Stay tuned! Also, check back here this time tomorrow for an interview with writer, director, actor, musician PJ Pesce! Thanks for listening and don’t forget to vote for us at Podcast Alley! To see our (mostly) complete collection of show videos, click here. Download Tom’s FREE ebook Bob Moore: No Hero which is pretty much available everywhere. You can also check out Tom’s new book, Bob Moore: Desperate Times on AmazoniTunesNook, and pretty much everywhere else. Friend Tom and Liz on Google+ to join in on one of our hangouts.
