Yamaha RX-V1 Receiver Preview
The Yamaha RX-V1 is the successor to the infamous and highly regarded DSP A1.
Listed below are the new and improved features over the DSP A1:
Dolby & DTS EX (matrixed rear center with power amp)
Enhanced DSP modes
Component Video Switching
Improved DAC's on all Channels (Burr-Brown 96KHz/24bit)
More Robust Power Supply
While incorporating many of the same features of the DSP A1 as listed below:
- High quality wide bandwidth amplifiers (110 watts / channel @ 20Hz-20KHz .015% THD, 8 ohms)
- Low Impedance Drive Capability
- 7 Channel DSP processing
- Superb Bass Management
- Dolby Spec A Standardized

As you can see the RX-V1 means business with its massive 20lbs high current power transformer and large heat sink area for the discrete output devices.
The RX-V1 uses some of the best internal components, including high voltage, low ESR Audiophile grade capacitors on the power supply section as illustrated below.
With a copper plated bottom cover and shielded chassis, you can be assured that the RX-V1 will be free of power supply hum and external noise interference, leaving the listener with the cleanest and most noise free audio quality available today in a single box chassis.
