[IMGP2648] In a surprise announcement, American Power Conversion (APC) declared a partnership with Rotel to offer power conditioning and battery backup products. Rotel plans to introduce a select line of APC engineered power components during the first quarter of 2006 designed to work with the company's revered home theater equipment. The products are a joint effort between APC and Rotel, combining APC's power protection solutions and the signature qualities of Rotel's AV products.

"Rotel is dedicated to offering its customers a complete suite of audio/video components that succeed in creating that first-hand experience A/V enthusiasts crave," said Mike Bartlett, Rotel's North American vice president and general manager. "Knowing that power disturbances can ruin that experience, we are pleased to offer high performance power protection solutions designed and manufactured by APC, the proven global leader in power protection products. Rotel customers now can protect and maximize their system with a high-end line conditioner that matches the look and feel of their other components."
