Niles CAT-5 Baluns

Niles Audio announced the company's new line of nine CAT-5 Baluns connectivity solutions that allow the installation of extended cable runs over longer distances, and enable system expansion in structures already wired with CAT-5 cable. Typically, system wire signals degrade over long distances, but by using CAT-5 Baluns, installers can extend a signal with increased flexibility, without sacrificing quality and at a fraction of the cost of other installation options. And because their circuitry is passive, Niles CAT-5 Baluns require no AC power and can be installed virtually anywhere.

Normally used in pairs, each CAT-5 Balun model in the series is designed with a specific application in mind, i.e., analogue audio, digital audio composite video, S-video, cable TV, component video and digital audio, S-video and analog audio, and VGA signal distribution.

All of the CAT-5 Baluns devices feature rugged construction and a limited, 10-year warranty, something dealers have come to expect from Niles for over 28 years. Shipping now, the line is sold exclusively through a network of Niles factory-authorized dealers.
