Da-Lite Acoustical Imager Projection Screen

One of the cooler new items at CES this year was home theater screen manufacturer Da-Lite's first speaker and screen package. The Acoustical Imager is a projection screen that marries a fixed frame screen with 5.1 surround sound. JBL supplied Da-Lite with the firepower for this line with a system capable of reproducing 88dB through the included five speakers. Several speaker options are available such as 6.1 and 7.1 upgrades as well as your choice of wall or table mount satellite surrounds.

With the do-it-yourselfer in mind, Da-Lite says the consumer will achieve a fast and easy install of it's new product. While integrating speakers into a screen frame may not be new, the packaging, pricing and ease of installation made this a very cool all-in-one setup. It may make for an affordable and easy option for those who have already purchased or already have a receiver and projector in mind.

The MSRP for the base model HDTV screen (92") is $1,925 and is shipping now. Check out www.da-lite.com for more info on screen sizing and surfaces as well as speaker array options.
