[IMGP0924] Marantz showed off what was possibly it's most intriguing product of the show, the TT-15S1 - a $1500 (tentative price) analog turntable. It looked absolutely stunning and featured a milk white acrylic frame which should match well with Marantz's PM-11S1 flagship stereo integrated amplifier and SA-11S1 SACD player. Sporting a 20mm thick acrylic chassis and 28mm thick acrylic turntable, the TT-15S1 looks like an antique that was recreated using 21st century technology and materials (oh, wait - that's exactly what it is ).

Specs & Features:

  • Low-resonance high-density acrylic chassis and turntable
  • Floating motor mount construction
  • Non-servo controlled Type AC motor
  • Belt drive system with "endless silicon" belt
  • Anodized aluminum Straight Type tone arm
  • Magnetic Type Anti-Skating mechanism
  • Fine adjustable counter weight
  • Solid aluminum 3 points support feet
  • Ebony base high quality MM cartridge
  • "Clever Clamp" by Souther Engineering
