Impact Acoustics RapidRun Modular Cables

Impact Acoustics showed off an entirely new cable system that will likely revolutionize the custom install industry. The RapidRun system features a multi-pin connector at each end of the cable with a pull-cap that allows easy pulling of the cable through conduit. Once the cable is in place, you can unscrew the pull cap and attach the cable to any number of connector pigtails or wall plates, including:

• RGBHV (5 BNC) or 5 RCA
• component video (or YRW - 3 RCA)
• component video with digital audio or stereo analogue audio (5/4 RCA)
• s-video with analogue audio (s-video & 2 RCA)
• HD15 (UXGA)
• component video with s-video (3 RCA & s-video)
• stereo audio and digital coax audio/video (3 RCA)

There are two styles of bundled cable, including a 5 bundle coax for video applications and a bundle for analogue and digital audio. Once you run the cable, it is easy to swap out the pigtails or wall plates by simply unscrewing them and replacing with another. Multiple cables can be run to get the particular results required for an installation. The pull caps can be left on to protect the cable ends until final installation where either the pigtails or wall plates can be attached.
