Marantz DV6500 Universal DVD

With a suggested MSRP of just $599, Marantz's DV6500 offers universal DVD player performance at an impressive price. The unit features video scaling and 3:2 pulldown along with two-channel and multi-channel DVD-Audio and SACD capability. The DV6500 enables users to enjoy DVD-Video, CD, CD-R/RW, DVD-R/RW, MP3, Video CD, Super Video CD and WMA discs.

The DVD player supports progressive scan component video output with true 3:2 and 2:2 pulldown detection, 54MHz 10-bit video D/A converters and advanced digital video processing.

For SACD, DVD Audio and other music playback, the DV6500 uses 192kHz 24-bit audio D/A converters. For total ease-of-use and installation, the DV6500 features a newly designed remote control, RC-5 connections for integrated system control, and front-panel menu operation. The DV6500 will be available in October 2004 (SRP:$599).
