Paradigm Décor Custom Built TV Speakers in 3 Days!

Here at Audioholics we hear a lot of “I love my new UHD TV, but hate the sound!” or “I love my new soundbar, but my wife hates the way it looks!” Last week at CEDIA in San Diego, California, Canadian audio manufacturer Paradigm attempted to placate both complaints with the unveiling of their new Décor Custom Collection of television speakers. These new high performance, low profile speakers are custom crafted in Canada with a 3 day turn around!  The version we saw had a sleek tailored look, and with a name like Paradigm, we’re sure they’re going to sound great.

The Décor speakers are available in both a horizontal sound bar like configuration and a side-mounted vertical configurations. Both variations are available with up to three audio channels in a single enclosure. These new speakers from Paradigm can also be combined to create a slim, elegant, high-performance audio system that is customized to the exact height and length of your wall-mounted, flat panel television.

The Décor speaker grilles are designed to be acoustically transparent and are stretched and trimmed by hand. Each set is customized to match the contour of your TV even ones that have bump-out IR sensors or logos.

The resonance-free enclosure is constructed of anodized extruded aluminum with heavy-duty MDF baffles. With a depth of only 2-inches with grille, Décor speakers are definitely slim enough to match today’s ultra-thin TVs. To help with placing these new speakers, Paradigm will offer several bracket options for maximum mounting flexibility.

According to Paradigm, their Design Studio website will walk users through the custom-build process of measuring, configuring and ordering with just a few simple steps.

The Décor Custom Collection will have pricing that starts at $1,499 each and will begin shipping Fall 2017.

Available Décor configurations are as follows:

• Décor 1S – stereo
• Décor 1C – center channel
• Décor 1SC – stereo + center channel

Décor 2 – Side-Mounted Speaker Solutions / Vertical

• Décor 2S – stereo
• Décor 2SC – stereo + center channel

Although not inexpensive, buyers have to realize with the plethora of TV's out there today, and with a 3-day turnaround for a custom unit some would say that a starting price of $1,500 is a bargain.
