Eighteen years ago in 2002 when VIZIO hit the market they were synonymous with budget displays. Want to go cheap? Go VIZIO. Eight years later in 2010, they were crushing the market with well-made affordable displays. Ten years later VIZIO is still crushing the market with exceptionally well-made TVs and is finally poised to overtake the high-end TV leaders such as Sony, LG, and Samsung. VIZIO released information about their new lineup of displays at CES 2020 in Las Vegas, Nevada, which includes 55” and 65” OLED displays.

VIZIO is already America’s fastest-growing Quantum Dot brand. With these new models, they are pushing the boundaries for Quantum Color picture performance with more color, contrast, and clarity than ever before. With the addition of OLED in their 55” and 65” TV’s, you can get a VIZIO with the infinite contrasts and perfect blacks that you only see in OLED TVs. The new lineup ranges from the accessible 40-inch V-Series to a massive all-new 85-inch P-Series Quantum X, the 2020 SmartCast TV lineup from VIZIO is their highest performing and widest range ever.

New IQ Ultra processors are built into every one of the new VIZIO 4K Smart TVs released in 2020.  Vizio says these powerful new processors deliver exceptional power and remarkable intelligence. The TVs come with 64-bit image processing and a 1 GHz CPU. The all-new processors add multi-step algorithms to more accurately upscale HD/FHD to 4K resolution, reduce noise and artifacts, and intelligently enhance detail and contrast with pixel-level brightness adjustments. The new 3D color engine works in concert with auto-calibration to improve color accuracy and create an image that is true to the artist’s original intent. The premium IQ Ultra processor also enriches picture processing with AI and machine learning capabilities.

One of the most anticipated features of VIZIO's new lineup is their enhanced Variable Refresh Rate (VRR), AMD FreeSync, and a more intuitive Auto Game Mode that automatically optimizes your gaming experience. For you gamers that means less lag time, smoother transitions, and less jitter and drag during play.

"Our mission has always been to make cutting-edge picture quality and a best-in-class smart TV user experience attainable for everyone. We’re excited with the performance improvements that our new IQ video processors and ProGaming Engine bring to our 2020 lineup, especially when combined with VIZIO TVs that offer the highest performance Quantum Color and peak brightness in the industry. Plus, utilizing the new processing power to optimize the strengths of OLED picture quality proves that VIZIO’s leadership in the TV industry has never been stronger."

- Bill Baxter, Chief Technology Officer, VIZIO

In addition to upgrading the award-winning Quantum Color models, VIZIO is introducing its first-ever 4K OLED TVs in 55 and 65-inch sizes. Built for the cinephile, OLED TV’s self-emitting pixels offer true blacks, infinite contrast, and unmatched viewing angles, making them the perfect option for watching your favorite films in a darkened home theater. The TVs come with a borderless 4mm thin display which blends into any space.

Of course, the new lineup will support the latest in video codecs such as Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG, and now HDR10+. Support for all consumer HDR formats means you do not have to worry if your TV can playback the content you want to watch in the format you want to watch it in. Similarly, VIZIO is proud to support viewing content as close to the filmmaker’s original intent as possible and will incorporate the UHD-Alliance Filmmaker Mode in 2020 UHD models.

We don’t have price points or launch dates yet for the new VIZIO lineup, but with VIZIO you know you’re going to get an amazing TV for an affordable price.
