Lutron wirelessWe looked at new products from Lutron today at CES in Las Vegas.   Entering a dark home is now a thing of the past thanks to the new Maestro Wireless dimmer and wireless controller from Lutron Electronics. Consumers can use Maestro Wireless to enhance personal safety by conveniently controlling a home’s interior and exterior lights from the car.

The wireless controller can operate up to three Maestro Wireless dimmers, turning lights on, off, or to a favorite level, from up to 100 feet away. The wireless controller can be clipped to a car’s visor and is compatible with HomeLink equipped vehicles. For added convenience, up to four wireless controllers can be purchased (for use by family members or to place throughout the home).

The dimmer features a large on/off switch, raise/lower buttons to fine-tune light levels, and LEDs to indicate the current light level. In addition to the home’s entry, Maestro Wireless dimmers can be placed wherever wireless control of lights is desired – the hallway, bathroom, nursery, detached garage, or outbuilding.

Maestro Wireless operates via radio frequency, allowing it to be quickly and easily installed without the need for sophisticated programming and wiring.

Available in 7 gloss and 20 satin finishes, the Maestro Wireless dimmer and wireless controller package has a suggested list price of $169.30 and is available at lighting showrooms and electrical distributors throughout the United States and Canada.
