I guess it was Bose to blame after all. Those bastards!! :cool:
If you're curious, this is what I found online about Bose Centerpoint:
"Centerpoint. Enjoy a Bose surround sound experience from existing CDs, MP3s and satellite radio. Specifically engineered to meet the unique demands of surround sound within a vehicle, Centerpoint converts stereo signals to multiple channels, allowing greater precision in reproducing sound."
A setting that makes it sound terrible. Nice!

Now if you're lucky the car will remember that you turned if off and won't turn it on again every time you start the car.

Well, I spent a little time with the settings and was able to adjust bass and treble and turn off the Bose "features". I think it sounds as good as it's going to get. Let's say it's passable. I have the bass at -25% and the treble at +60%. It's now not boomy, and I can hear cymbals...

But still a significant difference on routing it thru carplay vs not?
