Verismo Networks Triple Play Broadband Media Gateway Preview

Verismo Networks, maker of the VuNow set top box and now-Internet service, announced this week a Triple Play Broadband Media Gateway targeted at Service Providers (Telcos, ISPs, MSOs) who wish to expand their reach by offering Triple Play services including internet videos in a single device to subscribers. The Gateway provides seamless integration of broadcast channels, video-on-demand, over-the-top media services, VOIP, and a broadband router. Verisimo is attempting to redefine the home television entertainment experience through  the use of an open internet TV platform. In this way they can bring seamless convergence of IPTV linear channels, internet video, social networking and personal media playback directly to the TV. The Verismo end-to-end solution enables OEMs to expand their reach globally and cost effectively  while giving subscribers an un-paralleled viewing experience.

The new media gateway gives service providers the ability to expand their footprint at lower cost while offering increased value to their subscribers. The product offers new revenue opportunities to Telcos and ISPs with a fast time to market.
