Hogan Osawa Appointed President of Yamaha Electronics Corporation

BUENA PARK , CA, December 1, 2003 - Yamaha Electronics Corporation (YEC) announces the appointment of industry veteran Hogan Osawa as president of its line of Home Theater products effective December 1. Osawa has been with Yamaha since 1982; his most recent position was Executive Vice President of Sales, to which he was appointed in April 2003.

In 21 years at Yamaha, Osawa has covered the spectrum of Yamaha's key electronics operations, working for the AV Export Division, Yamaha Corporation of Japan in charge of Oceania & Asia from 1985 to1991; for Yamaha Electronics United Kingdom from1991 to 1993; for Yamaha Electronics Europe in Germany as Marketing Manager from 1994 to 2001; and for the AVIT Overseas Sales & Marketing Division, Yamaha Corporation of Japan from 2001 to 2003. He has been Executive Vice President of YEC since April 2003.

His priority as president will be to oversee and guide YEC sales and marketing in the United States . Osawa challenges will include continuing Yamaha's legacy of unparalleled quality and expanding the company's line of high-quality home theater products.
