The Sony BRAVIA XBR-52HX909 is a high-end, 52", 3D HDTV to be released in July 2010. The unit's key feature, aside from its 3D capability, is full-array local LED dimming, which allows parts of the backlight to shut off independently, producing higher black levels. Motionflow PRO 240Hz technology enables ultra-smooth motion reproduction, while Sony's BRAVIA Engine 3 processor aims to optimize image detail, contrast, and color. The XBR-52HX909 can connect wirelessly (with an additional adapter) or via ethernet to a home network, and is DLNA-certified, allowing users to play movies and music stored on a computer or media server, as well as access online content via YouTube, Netflix, and other providers. An iPod or other portable media player can also be connected easily using the television's USB input. Sony's 46" XBR-46HX909 features virtually identical specs.
