Canada's Avdeco has unveiled it's new CO 326 A/V rack at this year's CES (essentially a larger and improved version of their popular CO 325 racks from last year.) Their booth was full of sleek glass and duralumin racks geared towards the high end home theater owner, especially those with flat panel monitors. The CO 326 can handle tabletop TV's/screens up to 52". The bearing capacity for the top shelf is 250lbs, while the mid and bottom shelf has a capacity of 100lbs. They also showed off their more substantial PH 551, which again, was a larger and improved version of their PH 331 rack. The PH 551 cannot hold a traditional tabletop set like the CO 326, but it can handle Plasma/LCD monitors up to 63". It was pointed out to me that all of Avdeco's shelving featured a cable management system that ran stealthily behind the racks, hiding unsightly cables from spoiling the crisp and sterile aesthetic of the racks (which by the way is no small feat considering lack of non transparent hardware used in the rack's construction).

The above photo is of the latter PH 551. One of the reps informed me that the consumer can expect tinted/shaded glass as part of their options package in the near future. The pricing on the CO and PH series racks has yet to be determined, but they do expect a release date of late Spring early Summer for both models. You can visit them at www.avdecoinc.com .
