SpeakerCraft New Tantra On-Wall Speakers

SpeakerCraft announced Tantra, a new series of speakers designed to compliment the aesthetics of flat-panel televisions. The 5 models in the series offers solutions for just about any home theater environment. While each model comes with a secure bracket assembly to allow mounting onto any wall surface, they are not limited only to on-wall placement. Attractively styled floor or table stands are available as options. The cabinets are all fabricated out of aluminum and are available in silver or black finishes to match any flat panel television.

Speakercraft mentioned that careful selection of materials has helped to guarantee exceptional sonic performance. Each model uses 5.25" aluminum woofers with integrated phase plugs and 1" pivoting, aluminum dome tweeters. The Tantra Three adds a 2.5" aluminum midrange incorporated into SpeakerCraft's exclusive UniPivot. This assembly allows the user to aim the critical high and midrange frequencies toward the listening area. The smooth and rounded front baffles and grille integration have all been designed to minimize unwanted high frequency reflections.

All five models will be available in the Fall of 2005.

SpeakerCraft designed the Tantra series to be a complete new line of upscale loudspeakers designed to appeal to customers with a more critical ear. As a result, all Tantra loudspeakers feature "esoteric" drivers and cross-over components. A great deal of the design effort was focused on enclosures that are both physically appealing and able to couple with the electronic elements to provide the sonic performance which is so critical in higher end systems. The line includes in-wall, on-wall and floor-standing versions as well as subwoofers and compact models for placement in wall units and custom cabinetry.
