Reference System 1: Gene DellaSala [0.24] by Gene,November 17, 2007 20:00
Our premier reference system belongs to Gene DellaSala (GDS), who performs some of our most technical and critical audio hardware reviews. This system features a main theater room which is very neutral, transparent and well balanced. Acoustics were provided by Auralex and the end result allows for hair-splitting details to be discerned when inserting a new piece of audio hardware/software for examination. It features an immense RBH Sound T-30LSE System and is outfitted with a robust Denon AVR-5805. This receiver supports two simultaneous multi-channel surround systems (the main theater and the master bedroom) and a Yamaha RX-V2700 and Emotiva MPS-1 power the Family Room. The home contains over 40 speakers with 4 front yard and 4 backyard speakers from Klipsch with powered subwoofers. Yes we rock our neighborhood!
Rocketfish Wireless Rear Speaker Kit Review [0.24] by clint,October 04, 2007 21:27
Wireless speakers are the prize – the nirvana of a futuristic home theater system. Rocketfish isn't the first on the market with a product that promises to do away with the hassle of having it run wires from the front of the room to the back, but with a price point under $100 and a presence in big box stores like Best Buy it has the face-time to make some people really take a chance and use this method for finally achieving surround sound.

Impact Acoustics 6x2 Component Video Matrix Selector (Model# 40697) [0.24] by jclarke,December 26, 2007 19:20
The Impact Acoustics 6x2 Component Video Matrix Selector (Model# 40697) is an incredibly versatile unit that can be used in several different applications. The video switcher looks good, is very easy to set up and operate, and works exactly as it should. If you have high-def displays in both your bedroom and den, for example, you could use the switcher to route different video to both. The kids could be playing with their new Nintendo Wii in the den, and you could send your HD-DVD player video to your bedroom. At $179.99, it is a great deal no matter how simple or complex your setup.
Sierra Sound iN Studio 5.0 Smart Speakers Review [0.24] by jclarke,July 02, 2008 12:16
To call the Sierra Sound iN Studio 5.0 speaker system an iPod speaker system would be to miss the point entirely. This is a very well-built, great looking pair of bookshelf speakers that happen to be powered, and also have a built-in iPod dock on top. After living with these speakers in variety of locations around my home and office for several weeks, I found plenty to write about.
Creative Aurvana X-Fi Noise-Canceling Headphones Review [0.24] by jclarke,December 11, 2007 08:14
Creative recently sent me their Aurvana X-Fi noise-canceling headphones to evaluate, and after a few flights and some time to listen to them, I can tell you that they worthy contenders if you are considering taking the plunge. The Aurvana X-Fi is a great product that accomplishes it's intended purpose. The noise-canceling technology works well, and the X-Fi processing improves most recordings. The Creative Aurvana X-Fi headphones are a huge sonic improvement over earbuds, even without the noise-canceling or X-Fi effects. But, you pay a price. These are heavy, full-sized headphones.

The Creative Aurvana Live! headphones are designed for people who are looking for a comfortable and full ranged headphone that is priced right. They are lightweight and are equally suited for your two-channel rig at home or your iPod, as long as you don't mind a big set of traditional cans on your ears.
