Yamaha YSP-4300 and YSP-3300 Soundbars Preview [0.69] by Andrew Gash,September 07, 2012 07:35
Yamaha's YSP-4300 and YSP-3300 both bring 7.1 HD audio to your living room in a pretty small form factor that can be wall-mounted or placed on a shelf underneath your television. The wall-mounting of these sound bars is actually pretty cool as they seem to float off the wall like a fancy IKEA shelf system. Now we've seen their sound projector before, but this year Yamaha is announcing two new models.

Yamaha YSP Sound Projectors [0.56] by anthony,September 06, 2007 20:00
Yamaha unveiled the YSP-4000, YSP-3000 and the YSP-900 Digital Sound Projectors today at CEDIA in Denver, each of which provides true multi-channel surround sound from a single component that can easily be installed underneath a flat-panel television. All of these units provide true surround sound performance by focusing audio signals into precisely controlled and directed “beams” that keep consumers from having to install numerous speakers throughout a room.
Yamaha YSP-2200 Slim 3D Digital Sound Projector Preview [0.54] by clint,December 16, 2010 05:25
Yamaha introduced the YSP-2200 Digital Sound Projector which features the company's proprietary YSP front surround sound technology in a slim, updated enclosure. The versatile design of the slimline 3D-compatible sound projector enables it to conveniently fit in front of a TV, eliminating the need for additional speakers, cabling and stands that can clutter home entertainment spaces. Measuring at 3½ inches, the YSP-2200 has height-adjustable feet to allow for use with virtually any flat-screen video display without blocking any of the picture. The YSP-2200 comes complete with a 100 watt subwoofer (compact enough to fit into a shelf) that can be positioned either vertically or horizontally, giving users an unobtrusive, space-efficient environment and adding extra bass reinforcement.

Back again is Yamaha Electronics Corporation's revolutionary new home theater component, the Yamaha Digital Sound Projector. The YSP-1 is a one-of-a-kind single source multi-channel surround sound speaker system that features an array of 42 drivers driven by digital amplifiers with "steering logic" to deliver high-quality surround-sound, ideal for flat panel plasma displays in home theater installations.
Yamaha YSP-1100 Video [0.49] by clint,January 04, 2007 20:00
Yamaha's new Digital Sound projector features 42 DSP-driven drivers that fire in waves to route sound in a way that recreates a full surround sound experience from a single enclosure. We listened to this unit and found it to provide an impressive, immersive experience that differs from anything we had witnessed before. The YSP bubble effect is like surround without speakers and is far different from other phase-based, DSP-only solutions.
Yamaha YSP-1400 Digital Sound Projector Review [0.48] by Sid,November 27, 2013 10:00
The Yamaha YSP-1400 is attempting to bring Yamaha's vaunted "beaming" technology to the masses at a price they can actually afford. While they have done all that, they had to cut so many corners that is seems that the magic has been lost. I love Yamaha surround soundbars and I will continue to recommend them to my friends. That's not what is in question here. What is in question is whether the performance of the YSP-1400 justifies the $450 price tag. With a very small sweet spot, less than stellar sound quality, and unconvincing surround sound even in a nearly optimal room, the YSP-1400 doesn't quite live up to the rest of the Yamaha Sound Projector line.
