The all-new Mythos Solo Surround Array (SSA) loudspeakers, the SSA-42 and SSA-50, incorporate a unique patented technology that optimizes the spatial presentation of five channels to create the illusion that the listeners are surrounded by five separate high performance speakers. Like the entire Mythos Series the SSA models are fabricated from aircraft-grade extruded aluminum, styled to perfectly match today’s flat panel plasma and LCD TVs and may be either shelf or wall mounted with the supplied hardware.
In order to deliver the kind of audiophile-grade clarity,
precision and accuracy that has made Definitive popular, Definitive developed all-new axially aligned
driver/tweeter arrays. The new transducers feature patent-pending technology
that minimizes interference between driver and tweeter for more accurate sound.
The SSA models connect to any 5-channel surround receiver for true component
system performance and flexibility in a format that fits easily into any room
without the need for inconvenient rear channel speakers. Consumers who can’t or
don’t to want to wire and place rear channel speakers in their rooms can now
enjoy all the thrills of surround sound with maximum convenience and style. The
SSA-42 is sized to match 30 to 46-inch televisions while the SSA-50 is sized to
match 50-inch and larger sets. The SSA-50 also boasts higher power handling and
