Executive Overview

Want custom fitted earphones? Sleek Audio offered more than products this year at CES. Guests and members of the media had the opportunity to fill their ears with silicone as impressions were made for custom, wireless compatible earphones. Sleek Audio specialists demonstrated their SA6 acoustically customizable earphone at the show as well as took ear impressions for those interested in seeing what the combination of hearing aid science and loudspeaker technology sounds like with the Sleek Customs.

Of course, you'd have to wait for them to ship you the headphones to actually hear them.

The upside was that the impressions were reportedly painless (if a bit weird) and only took 15 minutes. The earphones were very cool in that the cable was completely interchangeable. Each pair is hand tuned to the users tastes and there is a wireless option available. The wireless setup basically is a rounded stiff cable that connected to the earbuds with a control in the center. While we were not willing to pay for the earphones (even though the press got a 50% discount), the product looked very cool.

Here are a few of the features listed on the website:

Interchangeable Cables:
Interchangeable cables for easily changing out different cables. Also allow you to easily upgrade to our breakthrough, CD quality wireless application which is currently available for pre-order.

Color:
Black shoes and a brown belt? Fashion faux pas. White cables with a black ipod? Even worse. But with Sleek Audio’s colored, interchangeable cables, you’ll always be able to listen in style. You can have a cable to match your mood, clothes, or MP3 player. Coming soon.

Length:
Your listening experience is as unique as you. Which is why Sleek Audio offers interchangeable cables in different lengths. Depending on your application and use, and even your height, you can decide between four feet or five feet of cable. In addition, Sleek Audio is happy to design custom length cables by special order, making your cable possibilities endless.

Replacement:
Damaged cables are the number one repair problem among in-ear monitors. In the past, the pinching, snapping, or breaking of cables rendered the entire unit useless, but not anymore. Sleek Audio’s interchangeable cable design allows you simply replace the cable and get back to your music.
