extravagant drum solos, [Rush] rocks on through the
21st century…the scope of [their] achievements is
undeniable…”
–Rolling Stone

Surely this is a misprint, right? Rolling Stone magazine has something positive to say about the band Rush? Snubbed by the publication for years, it seems someone finally saw it fit to do a decent story on the band earlier this year during their most recent tour supporting Snakes & Arrows. The first leg of this tour began in 2007 and Rush has just released Snakes & Arrows Live on DVD.

Yes Symphonic Live (DTS) Concert DVD Review

Are you ready for the best Yes concert DVD to ever hit the market? Folks, I have them all; I own Yessongs, Live in Philadelphia (1979), Live From the House of Blues, Anderson - Bruford - Wakeman - Howe, and even Keys to Ascension and none of these even come close to the audio, video and production of Yes Symphonic Live.

Eric Clapton Live - One More Car One More Rider

For the "One More Car One More Rider" Live on tour 2001, Eric Clapton backed himself up with some of the finest Jazz musicians in the industry. For starters is the amazing Steve Gadd on drums. You may remember him from Steely Dan, Al DiMeola (guitar), Chic Corea (keyboard) and the list goes on.

Steely Dan's Two Against Nature (DTS) Review

Steely Dan is one of my all time, favorite bands. Their music offers tremendous diversity, style and talent that's found in few bands today. Furthermore, their music has endured the test of time and even their most recent work, "Two Against Nature," is destined to be a classic.

Gladiator DVD Review

Great sound performance from such an incredibly great movie. The opening scene against the Germanic Barbarians is enough to give this movie a 5-thumber. IT IS AWESOME…nuff said.

Gone in 60 Seconds DVD Review

Solid sounds stemming from many high-performance vehicles really impressed me about this film. Since this was a movie of the action genre, it was "constant". It was certainly better than the original film, when it comes to audio.

Lethal Weapon: The Complete Series DVD Review

This is the thrill-packed story of two Vietnam-vets-turned-cops who have just one other thing in common: both hate to work with partners. But their partnership becomes the key to survival when a routine murder investigation leads to all-out, take-no-prisoners, martial-arts-and-machine-guns war with an international heroin ring.

Man on the Moon DVD Review

The sound performance in this movie was very good. As anyone who has read nearly any of my reviews knows, I tend to be a tiny bit tough. Put the two together, and I'm probably out of a job. So you're probably not reading this, which means I'm talking to myself again, which means I need to up my meds…

Al Di Meola – One of These Nights DVD Review

What a funky box, I thought when I unwrapped this DVD. Like most people, I am used to having to unwrap the DVD, fight with three different security tapes along the edges, and spend hours trying to get the last remnants of the glue off the cover. This box had none of that. In fact, it isn't even plastic - it is cardboard.

Eagles – Farewell I Tour: Live from Melbourne (DTS)

In 1994, the hit band, the Eagles, reunited after a long, 14 year break-up. Together again, they embarked on the highly successful Hell Freezes Over tour. To mark the occasion they recorded a live TV special for M TV, later released to video. The Hell Freezes Over (HFO) DVD became highly regarded in the home theater community for its outstanding fidelity, particularly in its DTS incarnation.

Noel DVD Review - Widescreen Review

Christmas Eve can be a strange and wondrous time - especially in New York City where multiple personal stories seem to connect and collide. This movie is quite different from its predecessors. It takes on a much darker, much more serious side to the tale of Batman. Batman Begins explains Batman's origins by highlighting his fears, his training, and his ideologies. The film details the reasoning behind Bruce Wayne's great responsibility to protect the innocent from those who have made Gotham a city of fear. Oh, and it rocks!
