They are making some really elegant systems, and their product line has expanded in recent years to include both typical and atypical mounts and stands. In particular, we've been impressed by their flat panel TV mounts that take into account the new thinner televisions as well as the attention they pay in other products to cable management and positioning requirements. The Atdec TH-3060-LPT is actually one of their "stealth technology" models. It looks like a simple solution, but it offers some pretty impressive features that are part handy, part brilliant.

Premier Mounts SpiroLock Universal Projector Mount Review

I'm a bit obsessive about which projector mounts I like to use and install. It has to be universal. It has to be rugged. It has to cost less than the projector... These are important criteria and together they set the bar high for anybody manufacturing a one-size-fits-all projector mounting solution. But in addition to universality, a projector mount has to be easy to install, easy to adjust, and preferably, capable of supporting that super-size heavy projector you may or may not one day be able to afford. Premier Mounts' newest SpiroLock Low Profile Projector Mount addresses all three of my "gotta-have" criteria pretty well. In fact, they bulls-eye two of them and get pretty close on the third. At $178 it may not seem sane in the pricing arena, but it's a robust mount, and you can find it a lot cheaper than MSRP from dealers and authorized retailers.

OmniMount ActionMount PLAY40 Flat Panel Mount Preview

OmniMount's John Deutch demoed the new full-motion ActionMount Play40 mount and was able to literally manhandle a 60-inch TV into a variety of positions with near-effortless ease. This is a great way to introduce a new product, and OmniMountfloored us with their interactive TV wall mount based on Ergotron's Constant Force Technology. Constant Force Technology is pretty cool - if not a bit mysterious. Within the mount are a combination of a spring, cam assembly, and even a pulley. Put it all together and you get the OmniMount ActionMount PLAY40, which makes it possible for the display to be positioned exactly where you want it... and you get to move it around without needing a second person or having to loosen up anything.

Premier Mounts Cable Based Flat-Panel Mounts Preview

If you are looking for a super flat mount for your new super flat display, the Premier Mount CMT might be the one for you. Using a one stud mounting system with an innovated cable mount, the CMT treats your new display like a picture. Usable for up to 55" displays or 65 lbs (whichever comes first), you'll be limited only by the location of your display's inputs to how close to the wall you can mount your new TV.

Atdec Telehook TH-2050-VFM Display Mount Review

When Atdec was looking for a place to try out their new TH-2050-VFM in the field I started looking around... and found a friend that still hadn't mounted his TV on the wall (honestly, it's getting so bad that a friend of mine actually snapped a pick of this guy's existing TV install and texted it to me). The TH-2050-VFM is a great-looking mount that comes in a combination silver and black color scheme. The articulated arm has three pivot points - one at the wall, one in the middle of the arm, and the last just behind the mounting plate. This is an attractive and highly usable mount. For obvious reasons it would also work well in a corner or a commercial environment as well. It's elegant, beautiful and well-built. In this particular case we were dealing with a TV that was set on top of a fireplace mantel. It was an older flat panel TV, so it had that going for it. It also supported a VESA mounting pattern, so the TH-2050-VFM seemed to be the perfect solution to our desire for a better use of space.

Atdec Visidec VF-AT-NBC Dual Laptop Monitor Mount Review

Atdec has invented a way to create yet more desk space with its new VF-AT-NBC Notebook/Monitor Arm Combo mount that is as elegant as it is practical. This mount works with nearly any desk and handles your laptop as well as a flat panel monitor up to 24-inches, getting both off of the desk and into the air and making them extremely maneuverable in the process. We took the system through its paces and really liked what we found. In fact, it was one of the more down-to-earth and innovative mounting solutions we've seen in some time.

Sanus VisionMount VMT14 Tilting Wall Mount First Look

Sanus used the CEDIA Expo to announce that it is now shipping the VisionMount Super Slim VLT14 and VMT14 Tilting TV Wall Mounts for flat screens from 37" – 65" (VLT14) and 26" – 42" (VMT14). In a business or office setting, the TH-3270-UFM is a great choice. At an MSRP of $500, it has a ton of competition that does everything it does and sometimes more. Of course, the street price is easily half that (which would up the value rating beyond what we awarded). In a business or office setting, the TH-3270-UFM is a great choice. In a home setting, it is more of a tough sell depending on the placement and intended use.

Atdec Telehook TH-1040-VFM Display Mount Review

The Atdec TH-1040-VFM is an attractive flat panel display mount that comes in a combination silver and black color. The articulated arm has three pivot points - one at the wall, one in the middle of the arm, and the last just behind the mounting plate. Between the last pivot joint is a ball joint for up to 20 degree (one direction) angling and 360 degree rotation. This gives the TH-1040-VFM a range of motion that needs to be experienced to be believed. From an ease of installation standpoint, the Atdec Telehook TH-1040-VFM is tops.

Sanus Systems VisionMount Full-Motion Mounts First Look

All three of the new VisionMounts from Sanus offers 75 degrees of swivel, +5/-15 degrees of tilt and +/- 5 degrees of roll. With up to 20" of extension and a ton of features, you are definitely getting what you pay for. The VLF210 extends 10" from the wall has a one tab connection/release mechanism and a toolless tilt adjustment. VLF220 and VMF220 have all that plus an additional 10" of extension and a wire management system that allows you to run the wires through the arm even within the elbow joint.

Sanus VLMF109 Motorized Flat Panel Mount First Look

Sure, others might have your display, but we're betting you don't know anyone with a motorized mount. The Sanus Systems VLMF109 motorized mount accommodates displays from 37" to 56" an up to 110lbs. It can be laterally shifted for installation on off-axis studs, sits as close as 2" off the wall and can extend to 9" with a 60 degree swivel. It is IR controlled and has two presets for integration into universal remote setups. From an ease of use standpoint, there is very little that can beat it. If you can hang a heavy picture, you can use the TH-400-LED. But there are some considerations as well. You need to think about the orientation of the connections, about how the location of the mount will affect viewing angles and reflections since it can't be tilted, and how likely the display is to move on that wire. That being said, the TH-400-LED only costs $89. For a mount that will allow you to place your new flat panel only 5/8" off the wall, that is very reasonable.

Auton Under the Bed TV Lift First Look

The Auton Dream Machine is a high-end under-bed TV lift that is designed primarily as a modern space-saving device. It hides, slides, raises and swivels a bedroom television to any desired viewing position within seconds, with just a push of a button. When we say "high-end" we mean it. The smallest model retails for around $14,000 and the most expensive model is $23,000. This is not the type of product Auton expects users to shop for at their local Best Buy or hhgreg. In fact, we'd classify this as one of those "if you have to ask, you can't afford it" types of products... that is, until someone decides to make one and sell it for less money.

Atdec Quick Shift Donut Display Mount First Look

Want a nearly tool-less display mount with nearly unlimited adjustments? Atdec has what you want with the new Quick Shift Donut. An integrated level moves the display up and down and side to side. A wrench releases a ball joint to move 40 degrees plus rotate. A button releases the display from the mount. Adjustable? We'd say so. As more and more men are stepping up and demanding their own "man-cave", setups are getting more and more varied. While a dedicated home theater should (as far as we are concerned) be first and foremost on the man-cave checklist, there are often secondary (and tertiary) displays. These displays may live on a wall near a pool table or perhaps in a kids room. Often you are forced to place these displays so that the maximum number of areas have some sort of unobstructed view. With lower end LCD viewing angles, this can be a tricky proposition at best.

Auton 1001-LCD Motorized Projector Lift

You've already purchased your front projection system and all your components, and now you're left with a daunting task. How do you mount the projector, without hearing an earful from your significant other; or in this case, in a conference room with a commercial drop-ceiling? Many mounts and stands can be not-so-appealing to the female eye, such as a pole dropping from the ceiling, a stand behind the couch, or a box sitting on the conference room table. You ask yourself: does visual perfection really have to come at such a price?

Peerless IM760PU In-Wall Flat Panel TV Mount Review

When you purchase a flat panel the biggest travesty (in my humble opinion) is to set it on a piece of furniture as if it is business as usual. With today's available inventory of flat panel TV wall mounts, it's insane to not want to place these beautiful masterpieces of technology up on the wall where they belong. And if you have an even newer flat panel display that is less than two inches in thickness, why not try to get that TV right up against the wall and as flat as it can be? With the Peerless IM760 series you can. It allows installation of a full swing arm mount within the stud cavity of your wall, enabling you to recess that cables, swing arm and mount so that it is quite literally flush against your wall. Seeing is believing.

Da-Lite's Da-Lift Pivot Motorized Projector Lift

Da-Lite's new Da-Lift Pivot motorized projector lift is engineered with a fixed pivot point that drops a projector down from a hidden drywall or drop-ceiling location. Mounting systems can be simple. They can also be manufacturer-specific and particularly suited to the exact projector you own. It's because of this that solutions like the Peerless Industries PRG-UNV exist.

Premier Mounts Victory Line

Premier Mounts introduced its Victory Mounts family of flat-panel TV, plasma and LCD display mounting solutions at CES. Well, one day Paul Stepanek, President/Owner & Designer from Soundocity was browsing the web. He came across a review at Audioholics. The author, a particularly whiny fellow, was lamenting the fact that the speaker he had reviewed was a bit “tippy” and that he wished the manufacturer would provide an outrigger setup as an option. Paul looked around at the warehouse full of aftermarket Outriggers and thought, “Hey, I bet that guy would review these if I sent him a set!” (Ok, I don’t know what he was thinking but that sounds good to me.) At the same time, said reviewer was working on yet another review where he was having problems leveling a different pair of floorstanding speakers. Not as bad as the first time, but still a little frustrating. Paul’s email couldn’t have come at a better time. And, yes, he was right, I would review them.
