Yamaha DPX-1300 DLP Projector
Yamaha showed off its new DPX-1300 DLP projector which is the first production unit to incorporate the new Silicon Optix HQV chip. The Realta HQV device encompasses true 10-bit video processing, full four-field motion adaptive video de-interlacing for both SD and HD signals, temporal-recursive noise reduction, automatic multi-cadence detection, and pixel-based detail enhancement. It also utilizes the same video processing power - 1 trillion operations per second - as the famous $60k Teranex Xantus box.
The picture on this new projector was simply amazing and we all agreed that Yamaha has selected some very excellent components for this new device.

The DPX-1300 has a robust case that allows ample room for air to exit the system quietly, allowing the projector to run near-silent in comparison to other models. We felt the on-floor demo showed some great picture detail and black levels were excellent. The DPX-1300 will retail for $12,495 and will be available in November.
