Integra DTR-6.5 7 Channel A/V Receivers

Integra has introduced the DTR-6.5, a powerful home theater receiver to meet the varied needs of audio/video enthusiasts and custom installers. It includes THX Select certification, advanced DVD-A and SACD bass management, sophisticated video upconversion and switching capabilities, and an impressive array of multi-room options, including powered Zone 2 and A-Bus.

The DTR-6.5 is 7x100 Watt home theater receiver to meet the varied needs of audio/video enthusiasts and custom installers. It includes THX Select certification, advanced DVD-A and SACD bass management, video upconversion and switching capabilities, and an impressive array of multi-room options, including powered Zone 2 and A-Bus.

The Integra DTR-6.5 features 32-bit Dual-DSP audio processing for THX Surround EX, Dolby Digital EX and ProLogic IIx, DTS-ES, Neo:6, and the DTS-96/24 audio formats. The 192 kHz/24-bit DAC found on each channel is combined with Integra's VLSC (Vector Linear Shaping Circuitry), previously found on the company's high-end DVD players, to smooth the analog output.

The DTR-6.5's 5.1-channel analog input includes optional bass management. The incoming signals are digitized and then processed by the receiver's DSP to route low frequency information to a subwoofer while excluding it from small satellite speakers that are ill equipped to handle deep bass. The subwoofer crossover is selectable at 40, 60, 80, 100, 120, or 150 Hz. This feature can also be bypassed with Integra's Direct and Pure audio modes .

Bass, treble, and even balance controls are offered for Zone 2, allowing users to separately adjust the audio in the second room. There is even Integra's Powered Zone 2 feature, which dedicates two of the receiver's internal amplifier channels to directly power speakers in a second room while simultaneously providing a full 5.1 channel home theater system.

For integration with video equipment, the Integra DTR-6.5 features five A/V inputs and two outputs, each with both composite and s-video connections, and three assignable component video inputs. The receiver features composite to s-video conversion using a 5-line digital comb filter, and all video inputs are upconverted to 480i component video. For HDTV and DVD video fidelity, component video switching supports 50 MHz bandwidth to prevent signal degradation.

The DTR-6.5's high quality AM/FM tuner section has 40 random presets, including direct access tuning via IR and RS-232 control ports. The included backlit preprogrammed / learning remote control makes system integration and control simple and convenient.

The Integra DTR-6.5 will be available in September at a suggested retail price of $1,000.
