Boston Acoustics introduced the Avideaä 610 Integrated Home Theater System at CEDIA. The Avidea 610 is a completely integrated movie-and-music home entertainment system which combines form and function.

The system consists of a combination

DVD/CD Player and Receiver, four Silver Micro110x Satellite Speakers, a Silver Micro110c Center Channel, a PV700 Powered Subwoofer, and an easy-to-use Universal Remote Control. The Player/Receiver is compatible with today's most popular disc and surround sound formats, including DVD, CD, Video CD, MP3, WMA, CD-R, CD-RW, JPEG images and Picture CDs.

The Player/Receiver also features progressive scan (480p) component video output from the internal DVD drive; compatibility with Dolby Digital, DTS and Dolby Pro Logic II audio sources; and a high-performance AM/FM Tuner with 40 presets. In addition, the system features Boston Acoustics' "proprietary" UniView component video up-conversion.

The Avidea 610 consist of five timbre-matched Micro110x compact satellite speakers, including a Micro110c center-channel speaker, all featuring two-way designs. These complement a 200-watt PV700 Powered Subwoofer. The PV700 has a 12-inch driver with Deep Channel Design (DCD) and BassTrac technology that enables the front-firing woofer to utilize a smaller enclosure with low distortion.

Burnished with a handsome silver finish, the Avidea 610 Integrated Home Theater System will be available in October from authorized Boston Acoustics dealers at a suggested price of $1,199.
