Kinda late, but I'll still respond. I run 5.1, I just don't seem to express the need to move up to 6.1 or 7.1
IMHO, 5.1 is plenty of speakers to fill my HT.

Movies are 7.2 for me.
Tower front firing surrounds are my preference.
The 2 subs help with an even FR through most spots in the room.
