Panasonic released it's V2.0 firmware upgrade for it's DMP-BD10 Blu-ray Disc player. The update sports Dolby True HD and DTS-HD High-Resolution support for outstanding audio.

According to Panasonic the V2 update adds the following:

  • Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD High Resolution Audio are supported. A new decoder is incorporated to support the lastest high quality multi-channel sorround sound formats.
  • Functions of EZ Sync (north America) or VIERA Link (Eurpe/UK, Oceania) are enhanced. You can now seamlessly operate multiple connected components with one remote control.
  • (Improved) Playability and stability.

It should be noted that DTS-HD High Resolution is not the same as DTS-MA (Master Lossless Audio), there aren't any players supporting DTS-MA available on the market at present, but hopefully that'll change soon. See article on Cirrus Logic new chipset already released.
