Westinghouse QuadHD 56" LCD

Summary

  • Product Name: QuadHD 56" LCD
  • Manufacturer: Westinghouse
  • Review Date: January 15, 2008 16:28
  • MSRP: $15,000
  • First Impression: Gotta Have It!

Westinghouse was showing off a couple of different pieces of tech at this years CES but what was most exciting to us was the 56" QuadHD display. At 3840 x 2160 and 8.3 million pixels, that's essentially four 1080p panels shoved into one display. Clear? Oh yeah. Put your nose on it and just try to find a pixel. You can but you REALLY have to try. We were suitably impressed. The price tag? Around $15k. These are expected to be used for GIS and other commercial applications where extreme resolution at close range is needed. Oh, and my house... if I can talk someone at Westinghouse into it.
