Altec inMotion iMT630 Classic and Sport Speaker Preview

Altec Lansing just introduced its new inMotion iMT630 Classic and Sport speaker systems for iPhone and iPod. The inMotion iMT630 Classic and Sport speakers are designed to be ultra-portable audio solutions. With a rechargeable battery, the iMT630is quite portable, putting out sound through a pair of 2-inch stereo drivers. The iMT630 has a pretty unique style, and features fluid aesthetics with rounded corners. The Classic is available in Black, while the Sport model can be purchased in Teal and Red and closely resembles a clutch purse when carried in the hand (good for girls... not so hot for guys).

The compact and portable iMT630 can move easily from room to room, and the rechargeable Lithium Ion battery allows users to enjoy their music for up to seven hours without AC power. A wireless remote allows you to control the music from across the room and there is a magnetic storage space to hold it so you never misplace it. While the iMT630 lets you dock your iPhone or iPod Touch, there is also an auxiliary input for connecting any audio source you could dream up.

The Altec experience can be enhanced through the use of the company’s iOS apps, including the Music Mood App and the Alarm Rock App (best. name. ever.) With Music Mood's Graphic Equalizer (EQ), users can customize their sound, and a more advanced seven-band graphic EQ lets you store and recall settings at any time. Also included within the Music Mood App is the Ambient Sound library which allows users to relax to a number of serene sounds, including a crackling fireplace, a calming river stream, a relaxing beach or a mountain breeze. The Music Mood and Alarm Rock Apps are available for free from the App Store on iPhone and iPod touch or at www.itunes.com/appstore/.

The Alarm Rock App acts as a full-featured digital alarm clock complete with time display and an oversized snooze button. Users can choose to wake or sleep to their favorite audio files and songs, while enjoying a fully customizable interface to match even the most eclectic tastes.
