Energy Act System, S8.3, S10.3 and S12.3 Subwoofers
Energy's latest line of subwoofers pictured from left to right (S8.3, 10.3, 12.3) all feature their new patented Ribbed Elliptical Surround which is said to increase performance by eliminating surround distortion. The computer designed ribs are said to eliminate any surround deformation, a common problem with high output subwoofers.

The Energy Act6 system may be small in size, but certainly not in performance. For under $800 you get five (5) Act1 satellite speakers each containing a ¾" aluminum dome tweeter and 3 ½" micro filled polypropylene woofer and the Act subwoofer. Also pictured to the right is the Energy Take SAT ($175/ea) and LCR ($250/ea) ideal for on-wall placement installations.
Gene manages this organization, establishes relations with manufacturers and keeps Audioholics a well oiled machine. His goal is to educate about home theater and develop more standards in the industry to eliminate consumer confusion clouded by industry snake oil.
